Last summer, I invested in a stretching program to enhance my flexibility, but despite my best intentions, I found myself making countless excuses not to follow through. Some of these excuses were valid, but most stemmed from a lack of motivation. Determined to make a fresh start this summer, I’ve devised a fun and engaging way to stay on track.
Introducing my Paint-by-Number Fitness Challenge! To add an extra layer of fun and accountability, I've asked people to join me (and hopefully hold me accountable) on Instagram, and nearly 100 of you have said yes! So I decided to make this page. Here’s how it works:
1. Choose Your Goal:
This challenge is flexible and can be adapted to any goal you're working on. My focus this month (01.07.24 to 28.07.24) will be on improving my front split and pike, but feel free to choose any goal—whether it's the middle split, backbend, inversion, meathook, or simply staying active. The key is to aim for consistency by working towards your goal four times a week. I plan to do my sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, but you can choose whichever days suit you best.
2. Download your files:
Below, you'll find downloadable files to get started. The first file features a numbered paint-by-number guide where each number corresponds to a colour and a training day. After completing your workout for the day, colour in the corresponding sections. Feel free to get creative with your colour choices—use coloured pencils, crayons, gouache, marker pens, or watercolours. The second file is the same image without numbers, perfect for those who prefer to not see the numbers through your colour. If you’re using a medium like watercolour (like I will), consider transferring the guide onto suitable paper using carbon paper for better results.
3. Share Your Progress (Optional):
This challenge is first and foremost, for yourself so it's perfectly normal if you don't want to share. But I think it would be more fun and will help holding me accountable if you join me in sharing your progress. All you have to do is share your weekly painting progress on Instagram (either post or stories). Include a description of what you're working on, whether it's a photo of your training session or a simple text update. Tag me in your post/stories for a chance to win a special prize at the end of the four weeks. One lucky participant will be randomly selected to receive a choice of two stickers or a postcard/greeting card. This challenge is open to everyone worldwide, so don't hesitate to join in!
If this first month goes well, we can do it again next month with a new paint-by-number design!

The number guide shows week.day so 1.1 means week 1, day 1. In total, we are doing this for 4 weeks, with 4 days per week.
